Toshiba PDR-M61 review
Toshiba arrives this year with its new camera, the Toshiba PDR-M61 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was shown on the North American market on the 05/2/01. The Toshiba PDR-M61 will be sold at a retail price of 400in the United States, a very interesting deal. This model measures 123 x 75 x 61 mm and has for weight 310 g. The PDR-M61 delivers a maximum resolution of 1792 x 1200. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 896 x 600. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Toshiba PDR-M61 is 3:2, making a total of 2.2 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the PDR-M61 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Toshiba implemented a digital zoom on the PDR-M61 with an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the PDR-M61 is 1 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/500 seconds. The Toshiba PDR-M61 camera has an internal storage of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SmartMedia. The LCD screen available on the PDR-M61 diagonally measures 1.8 ".
