Sony Mavica FD-92 review
Sony is back with its new model, the Sony Mavica FD-92 which is a very special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 09/2/01. The Sony Mavica FD-92 has been launched at a price of 600in North America, a great deal. The Mavica FD-92 delivers a maximum resolution of 1472 x 1104. It also supports a lower resolution of 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sony Mavica FD-92 is 4:3, for a total of 1.2 mega pixels. The sensor of the Mavica FD-92 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.7 " having a RGB color filter.
Sony included a digital zoom on the Mavica FD-92 and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 25 m. The min. shutter speed of the Mavica FD-92 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/500 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The Sony Mavica FD-92 has an internal memory of 1.44 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Disk 3.5" (2x speed) or MemoryStick (slot). The LCD implemented in the Mavica FD-92 measures 2.5 ".
