Sony DSC-U50 review
Sony is back with its new camera, the Sony DSC-U50 which is an exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was announced on the North American market on the 15/8/03. The Sony DSC-U50 is sold at a price of 100in the US, a great deal. The DSC-U50 can be set to a maximum resolution of 1632 x 1224. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Sony DSC-U50 has been set at 4:3, for a total of 2.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the DSC-U50 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.7 " with a RGB color filter. The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 10 cm.
The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DSC-U50 is 1/8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-U50 has an internal memory of 8 mb extendable by using Memory Stick Duo / Pro Duo. The LCD screen available on the DSC-U50 is measuring 1.0 ". Connection to a computer is available through USB.
