Sony DSC-P72 review
Sony presents its new camera, the Sony DSC-P72 which is an exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in the US on the 24/2/03. The Sony DSC-P72 has been launched at a price of 330in North America, a very fair price. This nice camera measures 120 x 58 x 33 mm while it weights only 259 g. The DSC-P72 offers a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 1632 x 1224, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sony DSC-P72 has been set at 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the DSC-P72 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Sony added a digital zoom on its DSC-P72 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the DSC-P72 was set at 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Sony DSC-P72 has an internal storage space of 16 mb extendable with external storage with Memory Stick / Pro.
The LCD screen of the DSC-P72 diagonally measures 1.5 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
