Sony DSC-P3 review
Sony unveils its new model, the Sony DSC-P3 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced on the North American market on the 21/8/01. The Sony DSC-P3 will be sold for 500in the United States, a very fair price. The DSC-P3 can be set to a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1440. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sony DSC-P3 is set at 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 2.8 mega pixels. The sensor on the DSC-P3 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Sony included a digital zoom on the DSC-P3 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 25 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the DSC-P3 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Sony DSC-P3 has an internal memory of 8 mb extendable with Memory Stick. The LCD screen of the DSC-P3 is measuring 1.5 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television.
