Sanyo Xacti DSC-S3 review
Sanyo launches its new conception, the Sanyo Xacti DSC-S3 which is a very exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was shown in North America on the 19/5/04. The Sanyo Xacti DSC-S3 will be sold at a retail price of 300in North America, a very interesting deal. This model measures 91 x 62 x 31 mm and is weighting only 185 g. The Xacti DSC-S3 offers a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Sanyo Xacti DSC-S3 is set at 4:3, making a camera of 3.1 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the Xacti DSC-S3 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.7 " using a RGB color filter.
Sanyo included a digital zoom on the Xacti DSC-S3 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Xacti DSC-S3 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Sanyo Xacti DSC-S3 has an internal memory of 16 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card + Internal.
