Sanyo DSC-S1 review
Sanyo impresses with its new camera, the Sanyo DSC-S1 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented on the North American market on the 21/8/03. This nice little piece of technology measures 100 x 63 x 30 mm while weights 190 g. The DSC-S1 gets a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Sanyo DSC-S1 is set at 4:3, making a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the DSC-S1 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.7 " using a RGB color filter. Sanyo added a digital zoom on its DSC-S1 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DSC-S1 was set at 1/2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Sanyo DSC-S1 has an internal storage space of 8 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card. The LCD screen of the DSC-S1 measures 1.6 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
