Samsung arrives this year with its new conception, the Samsung Digimax U-CA 3 which is a great camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was announced on the North American market on the 11/9/03. This nice little piece of technology measures 102 x 53 x 32 mm and is weighting only 134 g. The Digimax U-CA 3 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1360, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Samsung Digimax U-CA 3 is set at 4:3, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the Digimax U-CA 3 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.7 " with a RGB color filter.
Samsung implemented a digital zoom on the Digimax U-CA 3 and included an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range is 80 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Digimax U-CA 3 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera being a very useful function. The LCD screen of the Digimax U-CA 3 measures 1.5 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television.
