Ricoh GR Digital review
Ricoh impresses with its new conception, the Ricoh GR Digital which is a special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced on the North American market on the 13/9/05. The Ricoh GR Digital has been launched at a price of 699in the US, considered affordable for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 107 x 25 x 58 mm while weights 200 g. The GR Digital gets a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Ricoh GR Digital is set at 4:3, 3:2, making a camera of 8.0 mega pixels.
The sensor on the GR Digital is a CCD of dimensions 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter. Ricoh included a digital zoom on the GR Digital and included an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the GR Digital is 3 min seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Ricoh GR Digital has an internal storage space of 26 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card + Internal.
The LCD screen of the GR Digital is measuring 2.5 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported. To summarize, we truly think the Ricoh GR Digital is a great camera and we recommend our readers to buy this wonderful camera.
