Pentax launches its new camera, the Pentax Optio S60 which is a great camera and setting new standards in the market! It was presented in North America on the 23/8/05. The Pentax Optio S60 was initially targeted at a retail price of 227in North America, a great price for such a camera. The Optio S60 has for maximum resolution 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Pentax Optio S60 has been set at 4:3, making a total of 6.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the Optio S60 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Pentax included a digital zoom on the Optio S60 and included an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range is 40 cm.
