Pentax Optio 555 review
Pentax impresses with its new conception, the Pentax Optio 555 which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown in the US on the 03/9/03. The Optio 555 gets a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Pentax Optio 555 is set at 4:3, making a total of 5.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the Optio 555 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter. Pentax added a digital zoom on its Optio 555 and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Optio 555 is 15 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Pentax Optio 555 camera has an internal storage of 16 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card. The LCD implemented in the Optio 555 measures 1.5 ". A video out plug exists allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
