Pentax Optio WG-1 review
Pentax unveils its new model, the Pentax Optio WG-1 which is an exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was shown on the North American market on the 7/2/2011. This nice little piece of technology measures 114 x 58 x 28 mm while it weights only 157 g. The Optio WG-1 delivers a maximum resolution of 4288 x 3216. It also supports a lower resolution of 4288 x 3216, 4224 x 2376, 3216 x 3216, 3072 x 2304, 3072 x 1728, 2592 x 1944, 2592 x 1464, 2048 x 1536, 1920 x 1080, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Pentax Optio WG-1 is 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, for a total of 14.0 mega pixels.
Pentax implemented a digital zoom on the Optio WG-1 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Optio WG-1 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1500 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version which is always a useful function. The LCD implemented in the Optio WG-1 measures 2.7 ". Connection to a computer is available through USBUSB 2.0.
