Pentax *ist DS2 review
Pentax is back with its new model, the Pentax *ist DS2 which is a special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was announced in North America on the 22/8/05. The Pentax *ist DS2 has been launched at a price of 799in North America, a great deal. The *ist DS2 gets a maximum resolution of 3008 x 2008. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2400 x 1600, 1536 x 1024. The image ratio on the Pentax *ist DS2 is 3:2, making a total of 6.1 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the *ist DS2 is a CCD which measures only 23.5 x 15.7 mm having a RGB color filter. The minimum shutter speed (min.
exposition to light) on the *ist DS2 is 30 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 seconds. The LCD implemented in the *ist DS2 measures 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported. Briefly, we think the Pentax *ist DS2 makes a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this great camera.
