Panasonic is back with its new model, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-S3 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was presented on the North American market on the 5/1/2011. This nice little piece of technology measures 99 x 59 x 21 mm while weights 117 g. The Lumix DMC-S3 gets a maximum resolution of 4320 x 3240. It also supports a lower resolution of 4320 x 2880, 4320 x 2432, 3648 x 2736, 2560 x 1920, 2048 x 1536, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-S3 is 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, for a total of 14.1 mega pixels. Panasonic added a digital zoom on its Lumix DMC-S3 with an internal flash which is always essential in a camera .
The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Lumix DMC-S3 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1600 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The LCD screen available on the Lumix DMC-S3 diagonally measures 2.7 ".
