Panasonic presents its new model, the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LZ8 which is a great camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled in the US on the 29/1/08. It also supports a lower resolution of 3264 x 2176, 3264 x 1840, 2560 x 1712, 2560 x 1920, 2560 x 1440, 2048 x 1536, 2048 x 1360, 1920 x 1080, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The lens's sensor of the LUMIX DMC-LZ8 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Panasonic added a digital zoom on its LUMIX DMC-LZ8 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 50 cm.
The minimum shutter speed on the LUMIX DMC-LZ8 is 60 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model which is always a useful function.
