Panasonic arrives this year with its new camera, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ1 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in North America on the 08/2/05. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ1 will be sold at a retail price of 220in North America, no bad for all this technology. This model measures 101 x 64 x 33 mm and weights 224 g. The Lumix DMC-LZ1 has for maximum resolution 2304 x 1728. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480, 1920 x 1080 (HDTV 16:9). The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ1 is set at 4:3, making a total of 4.0 mega pixels.
The sensor of the Lumix DMC-LZ1 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter.
