Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 review
Panasonic impresses with its new model, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was unveiled in North America on the 09/5/05. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 will be sold at a retail price of 267in the United States, a great price for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 94 x 51 x 24 mm and weights 155 g. The Lumix DMC-FX8 has for maximum resolution 2560 x 1920. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1440, 2304 x 1728, 1920 x 1080, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 is set at 4:3, 16:9, making a camera of 5.0 mega pixels.
The sensor of the Lumix DMC-FX8 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter. Panasonic implemented a digital zoom on the Lumix DMC-FX8 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Lumix DMC-FX8 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 has an internal storage space of 16 mb extendable with SD/MMC card.
The LCD screen available on the Lumix DMC-FX8 diagonally measures 2.5 ". A video output is available making it handy to watch pictures on your television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
