Olympus impresses with its new model, the Olympus C-765 UZ which is a special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 12/2/04. The Olympus C-765 UZ will be sold for 500in North America, a very fair price. This nice camera measures 105 x 60 x 69 mm and weights 310 g. The C-765 UZ delivers a maximum resolution of 2288 x 1712. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Olympus C-765 UZ has been set at 4:3, 3:2, making a camera of 3.9 mega pixels. The sensor on the C-765 UZ is a CCD which measures only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the C-765 UZ with an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the C-765 UZ is 16 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this model being a very useful function.
