Olympus presents its new camera, the Olympus C-7070 Wide Zoom which is a great camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was announced in the US on the 05/1/05. The C-7070 Wide Zoom has for maximum resolution 3072 x 2304. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2288 x 1712, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Olympus C-7070 Wide Zoom is 4:3, for a total of 7.1 mega pixels. The sensor on the C-7070 Wide Zoom is a CCD having for dimensions 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter. Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the C-7070 Wide Zoom with an internal flash which is always essential in a camera .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 80 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the C-7070 Wide Zoom was set at 16 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version which is always a useful function.
