Olympus C-5500 Sport Zoom review
Olympus presents its new camera, the Olympus C-5500 Sport Zoom which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented on the North American market on the 05/1/05. This nice camera measures 110 x 67 x 47 mm while weights 340 g. The C-5500 Sport Zoom can be set to a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2288 x 1712, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Olympus C-5500 Sport Zoom is set at 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 5.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the C-5500 Sport Zoom is a CCD which measures only 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Olympus included a digital zoom on the C-5500 Sport Zoom and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range is 60 cm. The min. shutter speed of the C-5500 Sport Zoom is 15 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Olympus C-5500 Sport Zoom camera has an internal storage of 16 mb and can be extended with xD Picture Card.
The LCD screen available on the C-5500 Sport Zoom diagonally measures 2.0 ". A video output is available making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
