Olympus C-2040 Zoom review
Olympus presents its new model, the Olympus C-2040 Zoom which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was shown in the US on the 21/11/00. This model measures 108 x 66 x 74 mm while weights 380 g. The C-2040 Zoom has for maximum resolution 1600 x 1200. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Olympus C-2040 Zoom is set at 4:3, making a total of 1.9 mega pixels. The sensor of the C-2040 Zoom is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2 " and uses a RGB color filter. Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the C-2040 Zoom with an internal flash which is always essential in a camera .
The normal focus range is 80 cm. The min. shutter speed of the C-2040 Zoom was set at 16 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/800 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Olympus C-2040 Zoom includes an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with SmartMedia. The LCD screen of the C-2040 Zoom diagonally measures 1.8 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television.
