Olympus D-510 Zoom review
Olympus is back with its new camera, the Olympus D-510 Zoom which is a special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented on the North American market on the 08/5/01. The Olympus D-510 Zoom is sold at a price of 400in North America, a very interesting deal. This model measures 118 x 66 x 50 mm and weights 250 g. The D-510 Zoom can be set to a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Olympus D-510 Zoom is 4:3, making a total of 1.9 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the D-510 Zoom is a CCD measuring only 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Olympus included a digital zoom on the D-510 Zoom and included an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 80 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the D-510 Zoom is 1/2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Olympus D-510 Zoom has an internal memory of 8 mb extendable with SmartMedia.
The LCD screen available on the D-510 Zoom measures 1.8 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
