Nikon strikes back with its new camera, the Nikon Coolpix S5100 which is a very exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was shown on the North American market on the 17/8/10. This nice little piece of technology measures 97 x 57 x 22 mm and is weighting only 132 g. The Coolpix S5100 delivers a maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000. It also supports a lower resolution of 3968 x 2232, 3264 x 2448, 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. Nikon implemented a digital zoom on the Coolpix S5100 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 45 cm. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Nikon Coolpix S5100 camera has an internal storage of 32 mb extendable with SD/SDHC, Internal. The LCD implemented in the Coolpix S5100 is measuring 2.7 ". A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computerUSB 2.0 (480Mbit/sec).
