Nikon Coolpix S3 review
Nikon is back with its new model, the Nikon Coolpix S3 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 01/9/05. The Nikon Coolpix S3 is sold at a price of 281in the United States, a great deal. This nice little piece of technology measures 90 x 58 x 20 mm and is weighting only 132 g. The Coolpix S3 gets a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It also supports a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Nikon Coolpix S3 is set at 4:3, making a camera of 6.0 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the Coolpix S3 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Nikon included a digital zoom on the Coolpix S3 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range is 30 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Coolpix S3 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/350 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Nikon Coolpix S3 camera has an internal storage of 12 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Coolpix S3 diagonally measures 2.5 ".
