Minolta DiMAGE Xi review
Minolta strikes back with its new conception, the Minolta DiMAGE Xi which is an exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was announced in North America on the 22/9/02. The DiMAGE Xi offers a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Minolta DiMAGE Xi is 4:3, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the DiMAGE Xi is a CCD which measures 1/2.7 " with a RGB color filter. Minolta included a digital zoom on the DiMAGE Xi and included an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 25 cm. The min. shutter speed of the DiMAGE Xi is 2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Minolta DiMAGE Xi includes an internal memory of 16 mb extendable with external storage with SD/MMC card. The LCD implemented in the DiMAGE Xi diagonally measures 1.5 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV.
