Minolta DiMAGE G500 review
Minolta launches its new conception, the Minolta DiMAGE G500 which is a very special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in North America on the 07/8/03. The DiMAGE G500 offers a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944. It also supports a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Minolta DiMAGE G500 is set at 4:3, making a total of 5.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the DiMAGE G500 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter. Minolta added a digital zoom on its DiMAGE G500 and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the DiMAGE G500 was set at 15 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Minolta DiMAGE G500 camera has an internal storage of 2 mb extendable with SD/MMC card, Memory Stick + Internal. The LCD screen of the DiMAGE G500 is measuring 1.5 ". USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
