Minolta impresses with its new conception, the Minolta DiMAGE E201 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was presented in the US on the 22/5/01. The Minolta DiMAGE E201 will be sold at a retail price of 400in North America, a very fair price. The DiMAGE E201 can be set to a maximum resolution of 1792 x 1200. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 800 x 600. The image ratio (w/h) on the Minolta DiMAGE E201 is 3:2, for a total of 2.1 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the DiMAGE E201 is a CCD which measures only 1/1.75 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Minolta included a digital zoom on the DiMAGE E201 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 60 cm. The min. shutter speed of the DiMAGE E201 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/500 seconds. Movies are supported in this model being a very useful function. The Minolta DiMAGE E201 has an internal memory of 8 mb extendable with external storage with Compact Flash. The LCD screen of the DiMAGE E201 measures 1.8 ".
