Leica D-LUX 3 review
Leica is back with its new camera, the Leica D-LUX 3 which is a great camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented in the US on the 14/9/06. The D-LUX 3 gets a maximum resolution of 4224 x 2376. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 3840 x 2160, 3072 x 1728, 1920 x 1080. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Leica D-LUX 3 is 16:9, 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 10.0 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the D-LUX 3 is a CCD which measures only 1/1.65 " and uses a RGB color filter. Leica implemented a digital zoom on the D-LUX 3 and included an internal flash which is always essential in a camera .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the D-LUX 3 is 60 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Leica D-LUX 3 includes an internal memory of 13 mb extendable with SD/MMC/SDHC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the D-LUX 3 is measuring 2.8 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
Connection to a computer is available through USB. To summarize, we believe the Leica D-LUX 3 makes a great camera and we would encourage you to buy this wonderful camera.
