HP Photosmart R717 review
HP unveils its new model, the HP Photosmart R717 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented in North America on the 18/2/05. The HP Photosmart R717 was initially targeted at a retail price of 296in the US, no bad for all this technology. The Photosmart R717 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2864 x 2160. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1936. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the HP Photosmart R717 is set at 4:3, for a total of 6.2 mega pixels. The sensor of the Photosmart R717 is a CCD which measures only 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter.
HP implemented a digital zoom on the Photosmart R717 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Photosmart R717 is 16 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The HP Photosmart R717 includes an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD card + Internal.
The LCD screen of the Photosmart R717 measures 1.8 ". A video output is available making it handy to watch pictures on your television. Connection to a computer is available through USB. To finish, we really believe that the HP Photosmart R717 makes a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to buy this wonderful camera.
