HP arrives this year with its new camera, the HP Photosmart M417 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented in North America on the 18/2/05. The HP Photosmart M417 will be sold at a retail price of 189in North America, a very fair price. The Photosmart M417 delivers a maximum resolution of 2576 x 1944. It also supports a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the HP Photosmart M417 is 4:3, making a total of 5.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the Photosmart M417 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
HP included a digital zoom on the Photosmart M417 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Photosmart M417 was set at 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The HP Photosmart M417 camera has an internal storage of 16 mb extendable by using SD card + Internal. The LCD screen of the Photosmart M417 diagonally measures 1.8 ".
