Casio Exilim EX-S500 review
Casio launches its new model, the Casio Exilim EX-S500 which is a great camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown in North America on the 09/6/05. The Casio Exilim EX-S500 will be sold at a retail price of 279in North America, a very interesting deal. This model measures 90 x 59 x 16 mm while weights 125 g. The Exilim EX-S500 gets a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1920. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Casio Exilim EX-S500 is 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 4.9 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the Exilim EX-S500 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter.
Casio implemented a digital zoom on the Exilim EX-S500 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Exilim EX-S500 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Casio Exilim EX-S500 has an internal storage space of 8.3 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card + Internal.
The LCD implemented in the Exilim EX-S500 is measuring 2.2 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
