Canon impresses with its new camera, the Canon PowerShot S100 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 15/9/2011. This nice camera measures 99 x 60 x 28 mm while weights 198 g. The PowerShot S100 can be set to a maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 4000 x 2248, 2816 x 2112, 2816 x 1584, 1920 x 1080, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480, 640 x 360. The image ratio (width / height) on the Canon PowerShot S100 has been set at 1:1, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, making a camera of 12.1 mega pixels.
Canon included a digital zoom on the PowerShot S100 and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The minimum shutter speed on the PowerShot S100 was set at 15 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this model being a very useful function.
